Eating literary fortune cookies while writing this week's challenge. I LOVE the sentiment of this one! 💜
Writing this week's challenge all snuggled up under an afghan with my writing partner, Sasha - bliss! 🔥🔥🔥
Treating myself to a little chocolate while I'm writing this week's challenge! Look at this clever idea my amazing friend, Melanie Farrell, had for sharing her Twitter handle during last week's NCTIES Conference. She printed QR codes on 1 inch round Avery labels and attached them to Hershey's kisses. Connecting + chocolates = SUPER hygge! 🍫🍫🍫
Writing this week's challenge by candlelight! 🕯🕯🕯 Enjoy!
Reading Stephanie Pederson's book, American Cozy, to get inspired for this week's hygge challenge!
Perfect for Super Bowl Sunday, this week's hygge challenge is all about creating and managing a winning team! 🏈🏈🏈
Just in time for those wavering New Year's resolutions, this week's hygge challenge is all about treating yourself! Enjoy! 🍪🍰🍭
Happy Sunday! Thank you to everyone who shared how they tackled last week's challenge! Check out what Julie Waresh and Barb Flohr are doing at Holly Springs High School to make their media center the heart of the school: Please continue to either send me what you are doing privately or share with everyone on Twitter using the hashtags #WCPSS and #hygge - and #10weekchallenge, if you can fit it in!
Here is this week's challenge - enjoy! ☕ Happy 2019 everyone - new year, new you! 😊 Last November, I led a session at the WCPSS Convergence Conference about the Danish principle of hygge and how it can be used to make your media center or classroom the heart of your school. Hygge can be defined in many ways, but it is essentially, "conscious coziness." Using Meik Wiking's excellent book, The Little Book of Hygge, as a guide, I have created a 10-week hygge challenge to encourage you to think about your media program in an entirely new light. Here is Week 1's challenge - enjoy! :-) P.S. DDES Volunteer Sign-Up |
